This is my first year actively following Canadian Track & Field and I am stunned at the bias in coverage by Athletics Canada towards the track events. Field events are clearly used as filler between track events. It was hugely frustrating to have a field final interrupted so we could rush back to a track heat!! In addition, the video archive for the National Championships contains 2 field event videos out of a total of 274 (that's 0.7%!) Perhaps its a funding thing but its not unreasonable to imagine field events taking on more popularity in Canada and consequently getting more participation and funding if organizing bodies like Athletics Canada actually put an effort into making them more visible.

Women's PV yesterday with 3 Olympians had no coverage, yet showing men's PV warm up now where only 1 athlete has hit world standard. AC needs to get their priorities straight. Speechless with how horrible the live stream this week has been going.

257 videos on-demand and none on throwing events ... BIG SHAME on AC admnistration showing that they don't give a s*** about field event.

That ain't track and field ... that's track coverage only ... com'on only 2 vids on-demand for field events ... Sorry Athletics Canada but you seriously failed in your only job that is to promote Track AND FIELD ... No throwing events at all but hours and hours or running ...
